Unwrap Tools 1.6 and UV Toolbox 1.7
Hi all,
Here are some quick Updates for these 2 cool tools….
Unwrap Tools 1.6
This is the updated version of UnwrapTools 1.5 which was originally developed by Steve Johnson (www.chuggnut.com) and Tweaked by Diego Garcia Huerta (www.sloft.net)
What have i done with this new version. Simple….
Max 2010 has some cool new features for align and spacing in bitween edges in single click. That’s why i tweaked a code little to get back bottom unwrap holder back to life in Max 2010.
Here is the ScreenShot
UV ToolBox 1.7
This is just a quick tweaked update from my side and it was originally develpled by RenderHJS (http://www.renderhjs.net)
Here are some detail about the Update.
Firts, UV ToolBox 1.7 comes with 3 default checker settings with 2 default checker maps. One of them looks too much in contrast and second one seems to be very dull so i just removed second one and reduced contrast of first one to make it more eye loving.
Second, I love default colors and default selection method of max. So i just revert back all settings to default and make out selection method to vertex in UV Unwrap modifier.
Third, I made out a toolbar icon and script for UV ToolBox 1.7 to access it form a click insted of runscript.
Max 2010 Screen
Installation Notes : Unzip all the Content to 3dsmax root folder and overwrite all the files. Done.
Happy Texturing…..

Awesome, many thanks!
I remember using a feature of this script I no longer find: the ability to align a block of verts/faces against the edges of the mapping space.
There was a feature like that or Am I crazy?

Sweet!
Just a quick question/request (If I may)
Is there a way of setting up keyboard shortcuts for the align tools section? This would be such a time saver.
Thanks a million!

If anyone want to add some shortcuts for align tool … i personally recommend “UV TOOLBOX”. It has that feature and it can b downloded from http://renderhjs.net/textools/
Hope it helps……….

Unwrap tools don’t work for Max 2010.
Missing .bmp file and also the icons do not appear in color format.
I’m running in Administrator mode and it still doesn’t work. Ive reinstalled multiple times.
Can someone help me out please?

Well may b you are using Windows7. In there you need to do the following. Right Click > Run As Administrator
after that you may see it working.
If not , try to check folder permissions and if your username not there plz try to add it and then re-open max using above settings.
If it still not work let me know. I’ll send you the *.bmp file…
I hope it’ll help.

Unfortunately I am using Vista. I’m normally a mac guy so I am just learning that running as administrator means that aside from being administrator on your computer you must right click and click on install as administrator which doesn’t make sense really.
I’ll give that a try and report back. Thanks for the quick response

So what am I actually right clicking on in order to launch this?

I’ll answer my own question. You have to right click on max, da
